SPR
VALERIE'S FINALE

October, 2000
The Grand National and World Championship Morgan Horse Show in Oklahoma City is always a thrill for us. We love the competition, the camraderie, and of course watching our SPR-prefixed horses do well for their owners! This year's Grand National saw one of our predictions come true: SPR Valerie's Finale captured the Reserve World Three Year Old Hunter Pleasure Championship and Reserve Grand National Three Year Old Hunter Pleasure Mares Championship titles for her owner Lauren DuPont of Windward Farm in Pennsylvania. When we listed this mare on our Sales List we said she would someday be a World Champion in this division, and we were ecstatic when she proved us right! Congratulations to Lauren on her first of what we hope will be many national titles with this wonderful young mare.

Congratulations to Steve and Luanna Schauer of Loveland, Colorado, on their purchases of UVM Ada-Belle and Whit Haven Valerie. Luanna and Steve have two beautiful daughters named Briana and Rylee and Briana just happens to have the same color hair as Ada-Belle... and of course, women being women, we LOVE to be color co-ordinated with our horses... so Briana just had to have Ada! Ada will be the premiere hunt horse at their facility and Valerie will maintain her status as "Queen" of the broodmare band. We look forward to seeing Briana in the showring with Ada one day and also the beautiful foals these two mares will produce for this family.

SPR Valerie's Finale, (Tug Hill Commando x Whit Haven Valerie), a 3 year old hunter pleasure mare, has been sold to Amanda and Lauren DuPont of State College, Pennsylvania. Stove Prairie had high hopes of Kathy Shorten winning the World Champion 3 year old hunter pleasure division this year at Oklahoma with Finale, but it looks like Amanda will have the honor of bring home the roses for Windward Farm. Amanda has won the World Championships for the last 4 years in a row! Last year, she had the 4 year old Hunter Pleasure World Champion. We are pleased and very excited that she chose SPR Valerie's Finale and we wish her a great show season. Congratulations Lauren and Amanda!

Another Stove Prairie Ranch horse is headed to California... SPR Black Magic (HVK Bell Flaire x Vive La Difference). This elegant black 2 year old stallion was purchased by Tom and Teri Brisco of Riverside, California. He will be in training with Rock Walker Stables. Congratulations to Tom and Teri!

SPR BLACK MAGIC

The 2000 foaling season at Stove Prairie Ranch brought us some wonderful healthy foals. They just keep getting better and better...

SPR Stephanie (FCF Val D'Isere x Vive La Difference) was born on January 16th, 2000. This filly is jet black with 2 rear socks and a head to die for... Skylark all the way. Too bad Val is not in the Breeders Sweepstakes this year, BUT, she is in the Circle J $25,000 Futurity for next year... watch out! World Futurity Nominated.

SPR Gigolo (Cedar Creek Harlequin x Lookaway's Sabrina) was born on January 28th, 2000. This BIG dark bay colt is fantastic... An incredibly long neck, short back and Sabrina's lovely looks. WOW! One little star graces his forehead and one white front pastern. He is eligible for the Breeders Sweepstakes this year and the Circle J $25,000 Futurity 2001. World Futurity Nominated. The girls will adore him... but will they be able to afford him?
