March 24, 2004 We are thrilled to announce the arrival of SPR X RATED (Ultra's Special Agent x Viva La Difference), the world's very first sex-selected foal born at 9:30 pm at Stove Prairie Ranch. "Flo" (nicknamed after the flo-cytometer used to separate the X and Y bearing sperm) was created using the technology of XY, Inc., who developed and patented numerous technologies to choose the sex of mammals pre-fertilization (except humans).
